Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) implemented by Ministry of Jal Shakti in partnership with States aims to provide adequate drinking water of prescribed quality on regular and long-term basis to every rural household of the country by 2024.
ਜਲ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ (ਜੇਜੇਐੱਮ) ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ 2024 ਤੱਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਯਮਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੀਣ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਚਿਤ ਮਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, emphasis is being given on water quality surveillance through active participation of frontline functionaries as well as involving the community i.e.
ਜਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ,ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਫਰੰਟਲਾਈਨ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਿਆਸ਼ੀਲ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖਣ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 5 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ, ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਕਰ ਮਹਿਲਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
