बेशक हमने (रोज़े अज़ल) अपनी अमानत (इताअत इबादत) को सारे आसमान और ज़मीन पहाड़ों के सामने पेश किया तो उन्होंने उसके (बार) उठाने से इन्कार किया और उससे डर गए और आदमी ने उसे (बे ताम्मुल) उठा लिया बेशक इन्सान (अपने हक़ में) बड़ा ज़ालिम (और) नादान है
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [ undertook to ] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
हमने अमानत को आकाशों और धरती और पर्वतों के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया, किन्तु उन्होंने उसके उठाने से इनकार कर दिया और उससे डर गए। लेकिन मनुष्य ने उसे उठा लिया। निश्चय ही वह बड़ी ज़ालिम, आवेश के वशीभूत हो जानेवाला है
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [ undertook to ] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
जाहिर है कि यह डर बढ़ेगा, सारे मुल्क और सारी कौम इसकी गिरफ्त में आ जायेगी और हर कोई इस हथियार को हासिल करना चाहेगा और इससे अपने बचाव के लिए तदबीर सोचेगा।
Inevitably that fear would grpw and grip nations and peoples and each would try frantically to get this new weapon or some adequate protection from it.
क्या उनके दिलों में रोग है या वे सन्देह में पड़े हुए है या उनको यह डर है कि अल्लाह औऱ उसका रसूल उनके साथ अन्याय करेंगे? नहीं, बल्कि बात यह है कि वही लोग अत्याचारी हैं
Is there a malady in their hearts, or they are deluded, or afraid that God and His Prophet would be unjust in dealing with them? Not so; they are themselves unjust.
क्या उनके दिलों में रोग है या वे सन्देह में पड़े हुए है या उनको यह डर है कि अल्लाह औऱ उसका रसूल उनके साथ अन्याय करेंगे? नहीं, बल्कि बात यह है कि वही लोग अत्याचारी हैं
Is there a sickness in their hearts? Do they have doubts, or fear that Allah and His Apostle will be unjust to them? Indeed, it is they who are the wrongdoers.

Is there a sickness in their hearts, or, are they in doubt? Do they fear that Allah and His Messenger will be unjust? No, but those they are the harmdoers.
क्या उनके दिलों में रोग है या वे सन्देह में पड़े हुए है या उनको यह डर है कि अल्लाह औऱ उसका रसूल उनके साथ अन्याय करेंगे? नहीं, बल्कि बात यह है कि वही लोग अत्याचारी हैं
Is there disease in their hearts? Or have they doubted? Or do they fear that Allah will be unjust to them, or His Messenger? Rather, it is they who are the wrongdoers.
क्या उनके दिलों में रोग है या वे सन्देह में पड़े हुए है या उनको यह डर है कि अल्लाह औऱ उसका रसूल उनके साथ अन्याय करेंगे? नहीं, बल्कि बात यह है कि वही लोग अत्याचारी हैं
Is there in their hearts a disease, or are they in doubt, or do they fear that Allah and His Apostle will act wrongfully towards them? Nay! they themselves are the unjust.

Is there in their hearts a disease, or have they doubts, or fear they lest Allah and His messenger should wrong them in judgment? Nay, but such are evil-doers.
