जिस दिल आकाश बुरी तरह डगमगाएगा;
On the Day whereon the heaven will shake with an awful shaking.
जिस दिन आकाश तेल की तलछट जैसा काला हो जाएगा,
On the day when the heavens become like molten metal.
एक दिन वे एकत्रित हुए और अपने शरीर के मैल से धरती और आकाश की रचना की।
One day they assembled and created the Earth and the sky from the dirt of their bodies.
आकाश के एक तरफ नीलापन लिये धूप अभी बाकी है।

Or [ it is ] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers.

या तुम उससे निश्चिन्त हो जो आकाश में है कि वह तुमपर पथराव करनेवाली वायु भेज दे? फिर तुम जान लोगे कि मेरी चेतावनी कैसी होती है
Or are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not send down upon you a punishment? Then shall you know how was My warning.
या (उनकी मिसाल ऐसी है) जैसे आकाश से वर्षा हो रही हो जिसके साथ अँधेरे हों और गरज और चमक भी हो, वे बिजली की कड़क के कारण मृत्यु के भय से अपने कानों में उँगलियाँ दे ले रहे हों-और अल्लाह ने तो इनकार करनेवालों को घेर रखा हैं
Or like abundant rain from the cloud in which is utter darkness and thunder and lightning; they put their fingers into their ears because of the thunder peal, for fear of death, and Allah encompasses the unbelievers.
या (उनकी मिसाल ऐसी है) जैसे आकाश से वर्षा हो रही हो जिसके साथ अँधेरे हों और गरज और चमक भी हो, वे बिजली की कड़क के कारण मृत्यु के भय से अपने कानों में उँगलियाँ दे ले रहे हों-और अल्लाह ने तो इनकार करनेवालों को घेर रखा हैं
Or like rain pouring from the sky which hides within it darkness, thunder and lightning. They thrust their fingers into their ears for safety against noise and death. But God surrounds those who believe not from all sides.
या आकाश को टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके हम पर गिरा दो जैसा कि तुम्हारा दावा है, या अल्लाह और फ़रिश्तों ही को हमारे समझ ले आओ,
Or make the sky fall on us in pieces, as you claim, or bring God and the angels before us.
या आकाश को टुकड़े-टुकड़े करके हम पर गिरा दो जैसा कि तुम्हारा दावा है, या अल्लाह और फ़रिश्तों ही को हमारे समझ ले आओ,
Or thou causest the heaven to fall upon us, as thou assertest, in pieces, or thou bringest God and the angels face to face.
