जिस दिन वह घड़ी आ खड़ी होगी अपराधी क़सम खाएँगे कि वे घड़ी भर से अधिक नहीं ठहरें इसी प्रकार वे उलटे फिरे चले जाते थे
And on the Day whereon the Hour arriveth the Culprits Will swear that they tarried not but an hour Thus Were they ever deluded
कह दो तुम्हारे लिए एक विशेष दिन की अवधि नियत है जिससे न एक घड़ी भर पीछे हटोगे और न आगे बढ़ोगे
Say thou the appointment to you is for a Day which ye cannot put back for one hour nor can ye anticipate
निश्चय ही वह उस घड़ी जिसका वादा किया गया है के ज्ञान का साधन है अतः तुम उसके बारे में संदेह न करो और मेरा अनुसरण करो यही सीधा मार्ग है
And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof and follow Me this is the straight path
क्या वे बस उस क़ियामत की घड़ी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि वह सहसा उनपर आ पड़े और उन्हें ख़बर भी न हो
They await but the Hour that it should come upon them of a sudden while they perceive not
बड़ी ही बरकतवाली है वह सत्ता जिसके अधिकार में है आकाशों और धरती की बादशाही और जो कुछ उन दिनों के बीच है उसकी भी और उसी के पास उस घड़ी का ज्ञान है और उसी की ओर तुम लौटाए जाओगे
And blest be He Whose is the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in between the twain and with Him is knowledge of the Hour and Unto Him ye will be made to return

अब क्या वे लोग बस उस घड़ी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि वह उनपर अचानक आ जाए उसके लक्षण तो सामने आ चुके है जब वह स्वयं भी उनपर आ जाएगी तो फिर उनके लिए होश में आने का अवसर कहाँ शेष रहेगा
Await they but the Hour that it should come upon them on a sudden Tokens thereof are already come so how shall it be with them when there cometh Unto them their admonition
नहीं बल्कि वह घड़ी है जिसका समय उनके लिए नियत है और वह बड़ी आपदावाली और कटु घड़ी है
Aye the Hour is their appointed term and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter
निश्चय ही वह क़ियामत की घड़ी आनेवाली है शीघ्र ही उसे लाऊँगा उसे छिपाए रखता हूँ ताकि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जो प्रयास वह करता है उसका बदला पाए
Verily the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives
कह दो तुम्हारे लिए एक विशेष दिन की अवधि नियत है जिससे न एक घड़ी भर पीछे हटोगे और न आगे बढ़ोगे
Say O Muhammad SAW The appointment to you is for a Day which you cannot put back for an hour or a moment nor put forward
क्या वे बस उस क़ियामत की घड़ी की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे है कि वह सहसा उनपर आ पड़े और उन्हें ख़बर भी न हो
Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly while they perceive not
