The Conference is held under the auspices of the South Asia Region Public Procurement Network (SARPPN), which is sponsored and facilitated by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Islamic Development Bank.
पांचवें सम्मेलन की थीम है सार्वजनिक खरीद और सेवाएं मुहैया कराना। यह थीम बिल्कुल उपयुक्त एवं सामयिक है, क्योंकि इस क्षेत्र के सभी देशों की सरकारें उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली सार्वजनिक सेवाएं समय पर अवश्य उपलब्ध कराने के लिए अपने यहां सार्वजनिक खरीद को बेहतर करने के लिए प्रयासरत हैं।
The theme of the Fifth Conference Public Procurement and Service Delivery is appropriate and timely as the governments of all the countries in the region strive to improve their public procurement to ensure timely and quality delivery of public services.
दक्षिण एशिया क्षेत्र के सभी आठों देश विभिन्न वस्तुओं, कार्यों और सेवाओं की सार्वजनिक खरीद पर लगभग 550 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के समतुल्य राशि खर्च करते हैं, जो अंतत: सार्वजनिक सेवाओं में तब्दील हो जाती हैं।
