फिर वह अपनी क़ौम के सामने अपने ठाठ बाट में निकला जो लोग सांसारिक जीवन के चाहनेवाले थे उन्होंने कहा क्या ही अच्छा होता जैसा कुछ क़ारून को मिला है हमें भी मिला होता वह तो बड़ा ही भाग्यशाली है
Then he came before his people in all pomp and those enamoured of this world said Ah would that we had what Qarun has been given He indeed possesses great good fortune
फिर जब उसे उन्होंने भुला दिया जो उन्हें याद दिलाई गई थी तो हमने उनपर हर चीज़ के दरवाज़े खोल दिए यहाँ तक कि जो कुछ उन्हें मिला था जब वे उसमें मग्न हो गए तो अचानक हमने उन्हें पकड़ लिया तो क्या देखते है कि वे बिल्कुल निराश होकर रह गए
So when they forgot the advices made to them We opened the gates of all things for them to the extent that when they were rejoicing for what they had received We seized them suddenly hence they remained dejected
और हमने जो उन कुफ्फारों में से कुछ लोगों को दुनिया की माल व दौलत से निहाल कर दिया है तुम उसकी तरफ हरगिज़ नज़र भी न उठाना और न उनकी बेदीनी पर कुछ अफसोस करना और ईमानदारों से अगरचे ग़रीब हो झुककर मिला करो और कहा दो कि मै तो अज़ाबे ख़ुदा से सरीही तौर से डराने वाला हूँ
Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy and do not at all grieve because of them and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy
फिर जब उसे उन्होंने भुला दिया जो उन्हें याद दिलाई गई थी तो हमने उनपर हर चीज़ के दरवाज़े खोल दिए यहाँ तक कि जो कुछ उन्हें मिला था जब वे उसमें मग्न हो गए तो अचानक हमने उन्हें पकड़ लिया तो क्या देखते है कि वे बिल्कुल निराश होकर रह गए
So when they forgot what they were reminded of We opened unto them the gates of everything until when they rejoiced in what they were given We seized them suddenly and behold they were sore confounded

तो जो सुख उन्हें मिला होगा वह उनके कुछ काम न आएगा

Then when they forgot that whereof they were reminded We opened upon them the doors of everything until when they boasted of that which they were given We laid hold of them on a sudden and lo they were dumbfounded
फिर क्या उनको इससे भी मार्ग न मिला कि हम उनसे पहले कितनी ही नस्लों को विनष्ट कर चुके है जिनकी बस्तियों में वे चलते फिरते है निस्संदेह बुद्धिमानों के लिए इसमें बहुत सी निशानियाँ है
Hath it not served as guidance to them how many a generation We have destroyed before them amidst whose dwellings they Walk Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity
और उसे फल मिला तो अपने साथी से जो उससे बातें कर रहा था बोल उठा कि मै तो तुझसे माल में भी ज्यादा हूँ और जत्थे में भी बढ़ कर हूँ
