फिर शैतान ने उसे उकसाया कहने लगा ऐ आदम क्या मैं तुझे शाश्वत जीवन के वृक्ष का पता दूँ और ऐसे राज्य का जो कभी जीर्ण न हो

तो शैतान ने उनके दिल में वसवसा डाला और कहा ऐ आदम क्या मैं तम्हें हमेशगी की ज़िन्दगी का दरख्त और वह सल्तनत जो कभी ज़ाएल न हो बता दूँ
And We said Adam dwell thou and thine spouse in the Garden and eat ye twain plenteously thereof as ye list but approach not yonder tree lest yet twain become of the wrong doers
और हमने आदम से कहा ऐ आदम तुम अपनी बीवी समैत बेहिश्त में रहा सहा करो और जहाँ से तुम्हारा जी चाहे उसमें से ब फराग़त खाओ पियो मगर उस दरख्त के पास भी न जाना वरना फिर तुम अपना आप नुक़सान करोगे
