साल 2014 में शिक्षा पर एनएसएसओ के 71वें सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार, महज 6 प्रतिशत ग्रामीण परिवारों के पास कंप्‍यूटर है।
As per the 71st NSSO Survey on Education 2014, only 6% of rural households have a computer.
इससे यह तथ्‍य उजागर होता है कि 15 करोड़ से अधिक ग्रामीण परिवारों (16.85 करोड़ परिवारों का 94 प्रतिशत) के पास कंप्‍यूटर नहीं है और इनमें से एक उल्‍लेखनीय संख्‍या में परिवारों के डिजिटल रूप से साक्षर न होने की संभावना है।
This highlights that more than 15 crore rural households (@ 94% of 16.85 crore households) do not have computers and a significant number of these households are likely to be digitally illiterate.
डिजिटल इंडिया कार्यक्रम के तहत शुरू होने वाला पीएमजीडीआईएसएचए ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में 6 करोड़ परिवारों को कवर करेगा और उन्‍हें डिजिटल रूप से साक्षर बनाएगा।
