प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने एडमिरैलिटी (क्षेत्राधिकार एवं समुद्रतटीय दावों के निपटान) विधेयक 2016 के अधिनियमन और पांच पुराने एडमिरैलिटी कानूनों को निरस्त करने के लिए जहाजरानी मंत्रालय के प्रस्ताव को अपनी मंजूरी दे दी है।
After careful examination and consultation with various Ministries/Departments in the Government of India, four Acts have been enacted to repeal 1175 Central Acts (during the period May, 2014 to August, 2016) by Parliament which are –
भारत सरकार के विभिन्न मंत्रालयों/विभागों के साथ विचार-विमर्श और सावधानीपूर्वक पड़ताल करने के बाद संसद द्वारा 1175 केंद्रीय अधिनियमों को निरस्त करने के लिए (मई 2014 से अगस्त 2016 की अवधि के दौरान) चार अधिनियमों को अधिनियमित किया गया है ।
A list of remaining 422 Central Acts was circulated among all the Ministries/ Departments for their comments on repeal of Acts pertaining to their respective Ministries/Departments.
केंद्र सरकार ने बाकी बचे 422 केंद्रीय कानूनों को विभिन्न मंत्रालयों/विभागों के पास उनके संबंधित मंत्रालयों/विभागों से संबंधित अधिनियमों को निरस्त किए जाने पर टिप्पणी करने के लिए भेजा था।
Till date, 73 Ministries/Departments including Legislative Department have given their comments whereby they have agreed to repeal 105 Acts and disagreed to repeal about 139 Acts.
इनमें से अभी तक विधायी विभाग समेत 73 मंत्रालयों/विभागों ने अपनी टिप्पणी की है, जिनमें उन्होंने 105 अधिनियमों को निरस्त करने पर सहमति जताई है जबकि वे 139 अधिनियमों को हटाने जाने से सहमत नहीं हैं।

The proposed Act of repeal is necessary in view of setting up of the National Commission for Backward Classes by insertion of Article 338B of the Constitution.

The Cabinet also approved the introduction of a Bill in Parliament to repeal the State Bank of India (Subsidiary Banks) Act, 1959 and the State Bank of Hyderabad Act, 1956.
मंत्रिमंडल ने इसके साथ ही भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (सहायक बैंक) अधिनियम 1959 और हैदराबाद स्टेट बैंक अधिनियम 1956 को निरस्त करने के लिए संसद में एक विधेयक प्रस्तुत करने को स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी।
As regards Central laws on matters relating to the Concurrent List, such as welfare measures, procedural laws, etc., the Constitution itself provides for the State Legislature to modify or repeal such Central laws after obtaining the President's assent.
