तोप (cannon) वह हथियार है जो किसी भारी गोले को बहुत दूर तक प्रक्षिप्त कर (छोड़) सकती है। ये प्राय: बारूद या किसी विस्फोटक के द्वारा उत्पन्न गैसीय दाब के बल से गोले को दागते हैं। आधुनिक युग में तोप का प्रयोग सामान्यत: नहीं होता है। इसके स्थान मोर्टार, होविट्जर आदि का प्रयोग किया जाता है। तोपें अपनी क्षमता, परास, चलनीयता (मोबिलिटी), दागने की गति, दागने का कोण एवं दागने की शक्ति आदि के आधार पर अनेक प्रकार की होतीं हैं।
