गांजा ही एक आयुर्वेदिक औषधी वनस्पती आहे.हा अंमली पदार्थ आहे. याने नशा व व्यसनाधिनता येते.चिलीमीत भरून याचे धुम्रपान केले जाते.पुर्वी जेंव्हा सुंगणीचे अत्याधुनिक तंत्र उपलब्ध नव्हते तेंव्हा शस्त्रक्रियेदरम्यान याचा वापर केला जात असे. सतत गांजा पिणाऱ्या व्यक्तिस 'गंजेडी' म्हणतात. गांजा पिणा-या व्यक्तीची बुद्धी एकाग्रता जास्त असते. २० वर्ष वय पूर्ण झाल्यावर गांजा पासुन कोणताही धोका राहत नाही. गांजा मध्ये मिसळण्यात येणारी तंबाखु कर्करोगाचे कारण ठरते. गांजावर बंदी असल्यामुळे गांजा १०००० रू. प्रति किलो एवढा महाग आहे. याची लागवड सहज केली जाऊ शकते. या झाडांना वाढण्यासाठी फक्त पाण्याची गरज असते.
