ചെമ്പുനിറത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു ലോഹമൂലകമാണ് ചെമ്പ് (Copper). ഇതിന്റെ അണുസംഖ്യ 29ഉം പ്രതീകം Cu എന്നുമാണ്. ലാറ്റിൻ ഭാഷയിൽ ഇതിന്റെ പേരായ കുപ്രം (cuprum) എന്ന വാക്കിൽ നിന്നാണ് ആംഗലേയത്തിലുള്ള Copper എന്ന സംജ്ഞ നിലവിൽ വന്നത്. ചെമ്പ് നല്ല താപ വൈദ്യുത ചാലകമാണ്. അനേകം ലോഹസങ്കരങ്ങൾ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നതിനും നിർമ്മാണപ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും ഇത് ധാരാളമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
