यूगोस्लाविया के एड्रियाटिक तट पर चलने वाली ठंडी हवा। एड्रियाटिक सागर के पूर्वी किनारों पर और इटली के उत्तरी भाग में जाड़े में उत्तर-पूर्व से चलने वाली ठंडी हवाओं को बोरा कहा जाता है स्थल से चलने के कारण यह अत्यंत ठंडी होती है। इसकी गति 125-200 किमी प्रति घंटा होती है। इसका प्रभाव क्षेत्र मुख्यत: इटली में होता है।
The bora is a northerly to north-easterly katabatic wind in areas near the Adriatic Sea. Similar nomenclature is used for north-eastern winds in other littoral areas of eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea basins.
