The invention of the camera dates back to the 19th century and has since evolved with advancements in technology, leading to a vast array of types and models in the 21st century.

'ਕੈਮਰਾ' ਬੇਹੱਦ ਅਹਿਮੀਅਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕੈਮਰਾ ਕਈ ਪੜਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਮੁੱਢਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਲੰਬੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ-ਜਿਵੇਂ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਖਿੱਚਣ ਦੀ ਰਫਤਾਰ ਵਧਦੀ ਗਈ, ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਫੋਟੋਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਵੀ ਸੁਧਰਦਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬਿਜਲੀ, ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਕੈਮਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਮਾਲ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਖਿੱਚੇ ਗਏ ਦਿ੍ਸ਼ ਹੁਬਹੂ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
