పాఠశాల అనగా విద్యాలయం. ఇక్కడ పిల్లలకు విద్యనూ బోధిస్తారు. విద్యనూ అబ్యసించే వారిని విద్యార్ధులు అని, విద్యనూ బోదించేవారును ఉపాద్యాయులు అని అంటారు. పూర్వం విద్యాలయాల లో మహర్షులు, ఋషిలు విద్యనూ భోదించేవారు.
