ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ, ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਂ ਗੁਰੂਦਵਾਰਾ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਧਰਮ-ਸਾਧਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਜਿਸ ਵੀ ਧਰਮ-ਧਾਮ ਜਾਂ ਸਰਬ-ਸਾਂਝੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ’ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ’ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਬਦਿਕ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ: ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਘਰ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ’ਚ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਖਰੀ ਅਰਥ ਹਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ । ਹਰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰਚਮ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਥੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਨਿਸਬ ਵੀ ਲੱਗੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮੀਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਰੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸਥਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ।

A gurdwara or gurudwara is a place of assembly and worship for Sikhs but its normal meaning is place of guru or "Home of guru". Sikhs also refer to gurdwaras as Gurdwara Sahib. People from all faiths and religions are welcomed in gurdwaras. Each gurdwara has a Darbar Sahib where the Guru Granth Sahib is placed on a takht in a prominent central position. Any congregant may recite, sing, and explain the verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, in the presence of the rest of the congregation.
