धर्म नावाची ही अशी एक संकल्पना आहे की जिने आजपावेतो जगातील कोट्यवधी लोकांना सुख, शांतता व समाधान दिले. त्यासोबतच धर्मानेच आजपर्यंतची सर्वात मोठी मनुष्यहानी केली आहे. धर्म या शब्दास अन्य कोणत्याही पाश्चात्त्य भाषेत समानार्थी शब्द नाही. Basic Instinct हा धर्म या शब्दाच्या जवळचा अर्थ असणारा इंग्रजी शब्द आहे. .तरीही हा इंग्रजी शब्द धर्म या भारतीय शब्दाची व्यापकता वर्णू शकत नाही. रिलिजन हा धर्म या शब्दाचा समानार्थी शब्द नाही. सर्व धर्म समान असतात ही एक खुळचट समजूत आहे.
