ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ ಯು ಹೈನುಗಾರಿಕೆ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತಾಜಾ ಅಥವಾ ಹುದುಗೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಕೆನೆ ಅಥವಾ ಹಾಲು ಕಡೆಯುವಿಕೆ ಮೂಲಕ ತಯಾರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಲೇಪನ(ಹರಡುವಿಕೆ) ಮತ್ತುಆರೋಚಕವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಜತೆಗೆ ಅಡುಗೆ ಬಳಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ- ಬೇಯಿಸುವುದು, ಸಾಸ್ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಣಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹುರಿಯುವುದು ಮುಂತಾದವು. ಬೆಣ್ಣೆಯು ಹಾಲಿನ ಕೊಬ್ಬು, ನೀರು ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಲಿನ ಪ್ರೊಟೀನ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.
