- वह जो भले बुरे और सुख दुःख आदि सबके समान समझता हो । वह जिसमें न तो किसी के प्रति अनुराग हो और न विराग । आत्मज्ञानी ।
- वह व्यक्ति जिसने योग सिद्ध कर लिया हो । वह जिसने योगाभ्यास करके सिद्धि प्राप्त कर ली हो । विशेष— योगदर्शन में अवस्था के भेद से योगी चार प्रकार के कहे गए हैं—(१) प्रथमकल्पित, जिन्होंने अभी योगाभ्यास का केवल आरंभ किया हो और जिनका ज्ञान अभी तक दृढ़ न हुआ हो; (२) मधुभूमिक, जो भूतों और इंद्रियों पर विजय प्राप्तकरना चाहते हों, (३) प्रज्ञाज्योति, जिन्होंने इंद्रियों को भली- भाँति अपने वश में कर लिया हो और (४) अतिक्रांतभावनीय, जिन्होंने सव सिद्धियाँ प्राप्त कर ली हों और जिनका केवल चित्तलय बाकी रह गया हो ।
