गणित और भौतिकी में आयाम (amplitude) को कई प्रकार से परिभाषित किया जा सकता है। कोई आवर्ती फलन अपने पूर्ण आवर्तकाल में जितना अधिकतम परिवर्तित होता है, प्रायः उसे ही इसका आयाम (amplitude) कहा जाता है। इसके अलावा परिवर्ती फलनों के उच्चिष्ट और निम्निष्ट के अन्तर के परिमाण को भी आयाम कहते हैं। पहले तरंग की कला को भी आयाम बोला जाता था।

There are various definitions of amplitude, which are all functions of the magnitude of the differences between the variable's extreme values. In older texts, the phase of a periodic function is sometimes called the amplitude.
