પત્ની એ સ્ત્રી પાત્ર છે, એ વૈવાહિક જીવનમાં લગ્ન પછી પુરુષની સાથીદાર છે. તેને અર્ધાંગિની તરીકે પણ ઓળખાય છે. પત્ની જ્યાં સુધી કાયદાકીય રીતે પતિ સાથે જોડાયેલી હોય ત્યાં સુધી પત્ની તરીકેનું સ્થાન પામે છે. પતિના અવસાન પછી પત્નિ વિધવા તરીકે ઓળખાય છે. પત્નીના હક્ક, સ્થાન અને સામાજીક સ્થિતિ દરેક સંસ્કૃતિ અને કાયદાઓ પ્રમાણે અલગ-અલગ હોય છે અને તેમાં સમયાંતરે વિવિધતા આવી છે.
