દૂધ એ ‘સંપૂર્ણ આહાર’ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે. દૂધમાં વિટામિન 'સી' સિવાય તમામ વિટામિન રહેલા છે. સામાન્ય રીતે ભેંસ, ગાય અને બકરીના દૂધનો ઉપયોગ આહાર તરીકે ગુજરાતના લોકો કરે છે, જેમાં ગાયનું દૂધ શ્રેષ્ઠ ગણવામાં આવે છે.

Early-lactation milk, which is called colostrum, contains antibodies that strengthen the immune system and thus reduce the risk of many diseases. Milk contains many nutrients, including calcium and protein, but also lactose and saturated fat.
