ഒഴുകുന്ന വെള്ളത്തിൽ മീൻപിടിക്കാനുപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ചെറിയ ഇനം വലകളാണ് കോരുവല (കുത്തുവല). കണ്ണി വലുതും അടുപ്പമുള്ളതുമായ വലകൾ ഇതിനുപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. കണ്ണികളുടെ വലിപ്പം ക്രമീകരിച്ച് വലുതും ചെറുതുമായ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കാം. ഒരു വളയത്തിൽ കോൺ ആകൃതിയിൽ കെട്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന വലയാണിത്. ആഴം കുറവുള്ള ജലാശയത്തിൽ നിന്നും മത്സ്യങ്ങൾ കോരിയെടുക്കാൻ ഇതുപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
