A teahouse or tearoom is an establishment which primarily serves tea and other light refreshments. A tea room may be a room set aside in a hotel, especially for serving afternoon tea, or may be an establishment that only serves cream teas. Although the function of a tearoom may vary according to the circumstance or country, teahouses often serve as centers of social interaction, like coffeehouses.

चायख़ाना ऐसे स्थान को बोलते हैं जो ग्राहकों या अतिथियों को चाय पिलाने के कार्य पर केन्द्रित हो। भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप, ईरान, चीन, जापान और बहुत से अन्य समाजों में चायख़ाने लोक-संस्कृति और सामाजिक मिलन का पारम्परिक केंद्र भी हैं या ऐतिहासिक रूप से रह चुके हैं। अक्सर चायख़ानो में चाय के अलावा हलके-फुल्के नाश्ते भी परोसे जाते हैं। कुछ जगहों पर चायख़ानो में शतरंज, ताश, धूम्रपान और अन्य हलकी सामूहिक क्रियाओं का भी बंदोबस्त किया जाता है।
