An innings is one of the divisions of a cricket match during which one team takes its turn to bat. Innings also means the period in which an individual player bats. In cricket and rounders, "innings" is both singular and plural; this contrasts with baseball and softball in which the singular is "inning".

ক্রিকেটে একটি দলের ইনিংস ততক্ষন পর্যন্ত চলতে থাকে যতক্ষন না বিপক্ষ দলের ১১ জনের মাঝে ১০ জন ব্যাটসম্যান আউট হয়ে যায় অথবা নট আউট ব্যাটসম্যানের জন্য কোন পার্টনার না থাকে অথবা খেলা চালিয়ে যাওয়া অসম্ভব হয় অথবা অন্য কিছু খেলার মাঝে বাধা হয়ে দাড়ায়, যেমনঃ অধিনায়ক কোন সঙ্গত কারণে ইনিংস ঘোষণা দেওয়া বা সম্পূর্ণ খেলার জন্য নির্ধারিত সময় অতিক্রান্ত হয়ে যাওয়া।
