बंद मूलतः एक संस्कृत का शब्द है जिसका अर्थ होता है किसी चीज़ का बंद हो जाना या ठप पड़ जाना। राजनीति की भाषा में यह एक तरह का विरोध प्रदर्शन होता है। जिसे राजनीतिक एक्टिविस्टों के द्वारा इस्तेमाल किया जाता है। यह भारत के अलावा नेपाल में भी प्रचलित है। भारत बंद, पूरे भारत को बंद करने के लिए बुलाया जाता है।
