Bullying is the use of force, coercion, hurtful teasing or threat, to abuse, aggressively dominate or intimidate. The behavior is often repeated and habitual. One essential prerequisite is the perception of an imbalance of physical or social power. This imbalance distinguishes bullying from conflict. Bullying is a subcategory of aggressive behavior characterized by hostile intent, imbalance of power and repetition over a period of time.

दादागिरी (bullying) बलप्रयोग से या धमकाकर किसी अन्य या अन्यों का अपमान करने, काम निकलवाने, मनोवैज्ञानिक रूप से हावी होने या अपना प्रभुत्व जमाने के प्रयास को कहते हैं। यह दुर्व्यवहार अक्सर बार-बार दोहराया जाने वाला और दादागिरी करने वाले के लिए आदत बन जाने वाला होता है। दादागिरी अन्य प्रकार की झड़पों से भिन्न है क्योंकि इसमें दादागिरी करने वाला अपने शारीरिक या सामाजिक बल को दूसरे पक्ष से कहीं अधिक समझता है और स्वयं को किसी भी प्रकार की हानि से सुरक्षित महसूस करता है। दादागिरी का व्यवहार अक्सर कानूनी अपराध की श्रेणी में आता है।
