ஊக்கம் அல்லது தன்முனைப்பாற்றல் (motivation) என்பது மக்களின் செயல்கள், ஆசைகள் மற்றும் தேவைகளுக்குக் காரணமாக அமைவதாகும். இதுவே ஒருவரின் செயலுக்கான வழியும், ஒருவர் ஒரு செயலைத் திரும்பச் திரும்பச் செய்வதற்கான காரணமும் ஆகும். உணர்வு நிலைக் காரணிகள் மற்றும் தன்னையறியாமல் இருக்கும் உள்மன நிலைக் காரணிகள் ஆகிய இரண்டிற்கும் இடையிலான ஒருங்கிணைந்த விளைவாகவே ஊக்கம் இருக்கின்றது.
