ਘਾਟ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਘਾਟ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਭੁੰਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਟ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਘਾਟ ਨੂੰ ਗੁੜ ਨਾਲ ਆਮ ਖਾਧਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਘਾਟ ਇਕ ਪੌਸ਼ਟਿਕ ਖੁਰਾਕ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਖਾਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੌਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਣੀ ਬੀਅਰ ਠੰਡੀ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਘਾਟ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਥੋੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਭਿਉਂ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫੇਰ ਸਿੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਜੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਖਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਛਿਲਕਾ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।ਛਿਲਕੇ ਲਹੇ ਜੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਠੀ ਤੇ ਭੁੰਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘਾਟ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ।ਇਸਦਾ ਜੂਸ ਵੀ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
