അരുണാചൽ പ്രദേശിലെ വടക്കൻ ഹിമാലയൻ കുന്നുകളിൽ വസിക്കുന്ന ആദിവാസിവംശമാണ്‌ ആദി. അരുണാചലിലെ കിഴക്കൻ സിയാങ്, അപ്പർ സിയാങ്, ഡിബാങ് താഴ്വര എന്നീ ജില്ലകളിലാണ്‌ ഇവരുടെ വാസം. തിബറ്റിന്റെ ഇന്ത്യൻ അതിർത്തിയോടടുത്ത പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ഇവരെ കണ്ടു വരുന്നു. അബോർ എന്നായിരുന്നു ഇവർ മുൻപ് അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നത്.. ആദി എന്ന വാക്കിനർത്ഥം കുന്ന് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മലമുകൾ എന്നൊക്കെയാണ്‌.

The Adi people are one of the most populous groups of indigenous peoples in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. A few thousand are also found in the Tibet Autonomous Region, where they are called the Lhoba together with some of the Nyishi people, Na people, Mishmi people and Tagin people.
