प्रशिक्षुता या इन्टर्नशिप शब्द प्रायः नया व्यवसाय या नौकरी आरंभ करने वाले उन महाविद्यालयी छात्रों, विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों या युवकों के लिये प्रयोग किया जाता है, जो इस क्षेत्र में नये उतरे होते हैं और प्रशिक्षण के साथ ही व्यवसाय आरंभ करते हैं। इन्हें हिन्दी में प्रशिक्षु भी कहा जाता है। इंटर्न एक अंग्रेज़ी शब्द है, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ है कैद।
