पायल जिसे पायजेब भी कहते है टखने पर पहनने वाला आभूषण है। भारत में लड़कियों और महिलाओं द्वारा सदियों से पायल और बिछिया पहने जाते हैं। पायल अक्सर चांदी या सोने के होती हैं लेकिन कभी कभार अन्य कम कीमती धातुओं से भी उसे बना सकते हैं। पायल में कुछ छोटी घंटी भी जोड़ी जाती है जिससे चलते समय मधुर आवाज उत्पन्न होती है।

Barefoot anklets and toe rings and also have been worn by girls and women in Indus Valley, in South Asia where it is commonly known as pattilu, payal, golusu and sometimes as nupur. In the United States both casual and more formal anklets became fashionable from the 1930s to the late–20th century. While in Western popular culture both younger men and women may wear casual leather anklets, they are popular among barefoot women. Formal anklets are used by some women as fashion jewellery. Anklets are an important piece of jewellery in Indian marriages, worn along with saris.
