फोटोग्राफी का एक औजार जो संदूक के ऐसा होता है और मुँह पर लेंस या प्रतिबिंब उतारने का गोल शीशा लगा रहता है । विशेष—इस संदूक को आवश्यकतानुसार फैला या सिकोड़ सकते हैं । संदूक में पीछे की ओर अर्थात लेंस के सामने एक ग्राउंड ग्लास (कोरा शीशा) होता है जिसपर पहले फोकस करते हैं फिर उस ग्राउंड ग्लास को निकालकर स्लाइड रखते हैं जिसके भीतर प्लेट या फिल्म रहती है । स्लाइड पर पर्दा हटा देने से प्लेट या फिल्म खुल जाती है और लेंस खोलने से उसपर अक्स पड़ता है । कमरा दो प्रकार का होता है, एक भाथीदार और दूसरा सरकौआँ ।

कमरा, कक्ष या ख़ाना किसी घर या अन्य निर्मित ढाँचे के अन्दर के ऐसे भाग को कहते हैं जो अलग विभाजित कर दिया गया हो। यह विभाजन दीवारों, पर्दों या दरवाजों से किया गया हो सकता है। आमतौर पर कमरों के ऊपर छत भी डली हुई होती है, लेकिन यह ज़रूरी नहीं है। ऐतिहासिक रूप से कमरे मिनोआई सभ्यता के २२०० ईसापूर्व में बने निर्माणों में देखे जा चुके हैं।
