Bronze is an alloy consisting primarily of copper, commonly with about 12–12.5% tin and often with the addition of other metals and sometimes non-metals, such as phosphorus, or metalloids, such as arsenic or silicon. These additions produce a range of alloys that may be harder than copper alone, or have other useful properties, such as strength, ductility, or machinability.

ব্রোঞ্জ এক প্রকারের সংকর ধাতু। সাধারণত তামার সাথে বিভিন্ন অনুপাতে টিন মিশিয়ে ব্রোঞ্জ প্রস্তুত করা হয়। তবে অনেক সময় টিন ছাড়াও এতে দস্তা, ম্যাঙ্গানিজ,অ্যালুমিনিয়াম, নিকেল, প্রভৃতি ধাতুও মিশানো হয়। ব্রোঞ্জ বেশ শক্ত ও নমনীয় এবং নানা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কাজে এটি ব্যবহার করা সম্ভব। মানব সভ্যতার ইতিহাসের একটি পর্যায়কে ব্রোঞ্জ যুগ বলে অভিহিত করা হয়, কারণ সে সময় ব্রোঞ্জের অস্ত্র ও যন্ত্রপাতির ব্যবহার বহুল প্রচলিত ছিল।
