ब्रह्माण्ड (brahmanda) - Meaning in English

ब्रह्माण्ड सम्पूर्ण समय और अन्तरिक्ष और उसकी अन्तर्वस्तु को कहते हैं। ब्रह्माण्ड में सभी ग्रह, तारे, गैलेक्सियाँ, खगोलीय पिण्ड, गैलेक्सियों के बीच के अन्तरिक्ष की अन्तर्वस्तु, अपरमाणविक कण, और सारा पदार्थ और सारी ऊर्जा सम्मिलित है। जबकि पूरे ब्रह्माण्ड का स्थानिक आकार अज्ञात है, अवलोकन योग्य ब्रह्माण्ड के आकार को मापना सम्भव है, अवलोकन योग्य ब्रह्माण्ड का व्यास वर्तमान में लगभग २८ अरब पारसैक है। पूरे ब्रह्माण्ड का व्यास अज्ञात है, और हो सकता है कि यह अनन्त हो।

The universe is all of space and time and their contents. Space and time, according to the prevailing cosmological theory of the Big Bang, emerged together 13.787±0.020 billion years ago, and the universe has been expanding ever since. Today the universe has expanded into an age and size that is physically only in parts observable as the observable universe, which is approximately 93 billion light-years in diameter at the present day, while the spatial size, if any, of the entire universe is unknown.
