गंधक एक रासायनिक अधातुक तत्त्व है। गंधक या सल्फर एक रासायनिक तत्व है जिसका प्रतीक S है और परमाणु क्रमांक 16 है। यह प्रचुर, बहुसंयोजी और अधात्विक है। सामान्य परिस्थितियों में, सल्फर परमाणु एक रासायनिक सूत्र S8 के साथ चक्रीय अष्टकोणीय अणु बनाते हैं। मौलिक सल्फर कमरे के तापमान पर एक चमकदार पीला क्रिस्टलीय ठोस होता है।
