വാതിൽ (vatiൽ) - Meaning in English

വീട്ടിലോ ഓഫീസിലോ എവിടെയായാലും അതിന്റെ മുറികളിൽ നിന്നും പുറത്തുകടക്കാനുള്ള മാർഗ്ഗമാണ് ഇത്. മുറികളുടെ സുരക്ഷക്കായി വാതിലുകൾക്ക് അടപ്പുണ്ടാകും. ചിലപ്പോൾ പകുതിയോ പൂർണ്ണമോ ആയ ഗ്ലാസ് കൊണ്ട് വാതിലുകൽ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നു. അടപ്പില്ലാത്ത വാതിൽപ്പടികളെ കട്ടിള എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു തടി, സിമന്റ്, ഇരുമ്പ് ഇതിനാൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. വാതിലുകളിൽ പ്രത്യേകം പൂട്ടുണ്ടാകും. ഇത് മറ്റുള്ളവർ അതിക്രമിച്ചു കടക്കാതിരിക്കാനാണ്. വീടിന്റെ മുൻവശത്തുള്ള വാതിലുകളിൽ ചിലപ്പോൾ ലെൻസ് പിടിപ്പിക്കും. ഇതു പുറത്താരാണെന്നു അവർ അറിയാതെ കാണുവാനാണ്. അപ്പോൾ പ്രശ്നക്കാരല്ലെങ്കിൽ മാത്രം വാതിൽ തുറക്കനുള്ള സാഹചര്യം കിട്ടും. കാറിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾ പൊതുവെ ഡോർ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. കാണാൻ മാത്രമായി ഉള്ളവാതിലിനെ കിളിവാതിൽ എന്നും ക്ഷേത്ര വാതിലിനെ നടവാതിൽ കോട്ടയുടെ വാതിലിനെ കോട്ടവാതിലെന്നും പറയുന്നു.
