அர‌த்திப்ப‌ழ‌ம் அல்லது குமளி என்பது வருடத்திற்கொரு முறை இலையுதிரும், ரோசாசிடே குடும்பத் தாவரமாகும். சுவைமிக்க இதன் பழம் குமளிப்பழம், ஆப்பழம், சீமையிலந்தம்பழம், அரத்திப்பழம், ஆப்பிள் அல்லது அப்பிள் என அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது. பழுத்த ஆப்பிள் வெளிப்புறம் பெரும்பாலும் சிவப்பாகவும், சில இரகங்களில் இளம்பச்சை அல்லது மஞ்சளாகவும் காணப்படும். ஆப்பிள் பழத்தின் தோல் மெல்லியதாயும், பழச்சதை உறுதியாகவும் இருக்கும். சதையின் உள்ளே சில சிறு விதைகள் இருக்கும்.
