জাহাজ এক ধরনের বৃহদাকার জলযান যা নদী কিংবা সমুদ্রে চলাচলের উপযোগী করে যাত্রী কিংবা মালামাল পরিবহনের কাজে ব্যবহার করা হয়। আধুনিক সভ্যতার বিস্তারে জাহাজের অবদান অনস্বীকার্য। এখন পর্যন্ত জাহাজ তথা নৌপরিবহনই সবচেয়ে সস্তা পরিবহন হিসেবে বিবেচিত হয়। পূর্বের ভেলাজাতীয় ও পালতোলা নৌযান বর্তমানে পানির নীচ দিয়ে চলাচলেরও ক্ষমতাসম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
