మేక ఒక రకమైన జంతువు. ఈ మేకలు ఆసియా, ఐరోపా దేశపు కొండ మేకను పెంపుడు జంతువుగా మార్పుచెందినవి. ఇవి బొవిడే కుటుంబానికి చెందినవి, గొర్రె, జింక లకు సంబంధించిన కాప్రినే ఉపకుటుంబం లోనివి. ఇవి నెమరువేయు జంతువులు.
