പല്ല് (pall) - Meaning in English

ജീവികളുടെ താടിയെല്ലിൽ ഉറപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ബലമേറിയ ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങളാണ് പല്ലുകൾ. പ്രാഥമികമായി ഭക്ഷണം വലിച്ചുകീറുക, അവ ചവച്ചുതിന്നാൻ സഹായിക്കുക എന്നീ ധർമ്മങ്ങളാണ് പല്ലുകൾക്കുള്ളത്. മാംസഭോജികളായ ജീവികൾക്ക് ഇരയെ വേട്ടയാടിപ്പിടിക്കുക എന്ന ധർമ്മവും പല്ലുകൾ വഴി ചെയ്യാനുണ്ട്. ചിലപ്പോഴൊക്കെ സ്വയരക്ഷക്കും പല്ലുകൾ ജീവികളെ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.

A tooth is a hard, calcified structure found in the jaws of many vertebrates and used to break down food.
