भेदभाव या विभेदन (discrimination) किसी व्यक्ति या अन्य चीज़ के पक्ष में या उस के विरुद्ध, उसके व्यक्तिगत गुणों-अवगुणों को न देखते हूए, उसके किसी वर्ग, श्रेणी या समूह का सदस्य होने के आधार पर भेद करने की प्रक्रिया को कहते हैं। भेदभाव में अक्सर किसी व्यक्ति को केवल उसके वर्ग के आधार पर अवसरों, स्थानों, अधिकारों और अन्य चीज़ों से वंछित कर दिया जाता है। भेदभावी परम्पराएँ, नीतियाँ, विचार, क़ानून और रीतियाँ बहुत से समाजों, देशों और संस्थाओं में हैं और अक्सर यह वहाँ भी मिलती हैं जहाँ औपचारिक रूप से भेदभाव को न्यायिक रूप से वर्जित या अनौचित्य समझा जाता है। यह किसी धर्म जाति मूल वंश के प्रति किया गया नकारात्मक व्यवहार है

Discrimination typically leads to groups being unfairly treated on the basis of perceived statuses based on ethnic, racial, gender or religious categories. It involves depriving members of one group of opportunities or privileges that are available to members of another group.
