- तुन की जाति का एक पेड़ जो हिमालय पर शिमला तथा आगे पंजाब की ओर होता है । विशेष— इसकी लकड़ी बहुत मजबूत होती है । इसकी धरनें और कड़ियाँ मकानों में लगती हैं, पुल और रेल की सड़कों पर बिछाई जाती हैं तथा और भी बहुत से कामों में आती हैं ।
- एक प्रकार का मधु । पेड़ के खोंडरे में मिलनेवाला शहद ।
- कोदो नाम का अन्न ।
- दलों में किया हुआ अरहर, मूँग, उरद, चना, मसूर आदि अन्न जो उबालकर खाया जाता है । दली हुई अरहर, मूँग आदि जो सालन की तरह खाई जाती है । जैसे,— मूँग की दाल क्या भाव है?
- हलदी, मसाले के साथ पानी में उबाला हुआ दला अन्न जो रोटी, भात आदि के साथ खाया जाता है ।
- दाल के आकार की कोई वस्तु ।
