Description
ध्यान की उच्च अवस्था को समाधि कहते हैं। हिन्दू, जैन, बौद्ध तथा योगी आदि सभी धर्मों में इसका महत्व बताया गया है। जब साधक ध्येय वस्तु के ध्यान मे पूरी तरह से डूब जाता है और उसे अपने अस्तित्व का ज्ञान नहीं रहता है तो उसे समाधि कहा जाता है। पतंजलि के योगसूत्र में समाधि को आठवाँ (अन्तिम) अवस्था बताया गया है।
