The beak, bill, or rostrum is an external anatomical structure found mostly in birds, but also in turtles, non-avian dinosaurs and a few mammals. A beak is used for eating, preening, manipulating objects, killing prey, fighting, probing for food, courtship, and feeding young. The terms beak and rostrum are also used to refer to a similar mouth part in some ornithischians, pterosaurs, cetaceans, dicynodonts, anuran tadpoles, monotremes, sirens, pufferfish, billfishes and cephalopods.

चोंच (bill) पक्षियों के मुख का एक शारीरिक अंग होता है जिसे रक्षा व आक्रमण करने, वस्तुओं व ग्रास को पकड़ने, स्वयं को स्वच्छ रखने, शिशुओं को खाना देने, चीज़ें टटोलने और प्रणय-क्रियाओं के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है। यह लगभग उसी स्थान पर होता है जहाँ कुछ अन्य प्राणियों का थूथन होता है। अलग-अलग जातियों की चोंचों में आकार, रंग व ढांचे का बहुत अंतर होता है लेकिन उनकी मूल संरचना एक समान होती है। एक हड्डीदार ऊपरी और एक निचला हिस्सा होता है जिसपर त्वचा की एक केराटिन-युक्त परत होती है - जीववैज्ञानिक इस परत को "राम्पोथेका" (Rhamphotheca) कहते हैं। अधिकतर जातियों में चोंच पर सांस लेने के लिए दो छिद्र भी होते हैं।
