Unfortunately, there is no support for nicely formatted printing at this time. You may copy/paste content to any Unicode friendly word processor (like MS Word, Notepad etc.) and then print the words/meanings you want. The English Hindi dictionary is continously being improved. You may find printing support available in future.

Can I get some search tips?

1. You can use ALT+S to bring the cursor to the search box. This can be faster than using the mouse.

2. Type the search query and press ENTER key. You need not click on the Search Dictionary button to start search.

3. You can use Unicode Hindi to search Hindi words. If the search fails, try to use fragments of the word. That might be useful if there is a spelling mismatch.

4. If searching multiple words, try to search individual words. That is more reliable than searching a phrase.

How to use the search technology on this site?

The search box is a powerful way to search dictionary entries. You only need to type in your query in Hindi or in English. There is no need to use any signs like '+' or "AND" to create search strings. If there is a space in your query, then just give space.

The only wild characters you can use are "%" and "_". The sign "%" will match any number of characters. For example, searching for A%pt will match words like abrupt, adept, adopt etc. If you use "_" as a wild character, it will match a single character. For example, searching for a_e will match ale, ace, ape etc.

When you perform a search, then the search system looks for an exact match. If your search matches over ten words, then the results are limited to first ten matches. You should modify your query to reduce the number of matches.
