I am very happy today because I flew the Tricolor (Indian Flag) at the cross roads of Sector 17 and Sector 16.  Many people laughed and bowed their heads.  Many people said, “Best of Luck.”  But few people, who saw a danger in the passing of the Lokpal Bill, also cursed.  But this had no affect on me.  Because I think that my flying of the Tricolor must have definitely had a positive impact on someone or the other.  Because at least 50 thousand people must have passed through that road.  I am very happy.  This is the first opportunity I had where I flew the Tricolor in a public place.  I was feeling very proud.  But I am thinking of those people who instead of respecting the flag were cursing.  What do you thing about them?

@kamakshi: dear kamakshi I think there is no any word in English for the “INDIAN NATIONAL FLAG”, so u should not write it as “TRICOLOR”. well, U could write it as “TIRANGA”. Well Ms. Moderator, don’t take it otherwise, I told u what I felt.

@dushpj,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_India
Which says:
“In India, the term “tricolour” (Hindi: तिरंगा, Tirangā) almost always refers to the Indian national flag”.

It is the same in France. They call their flag as tricolour.

The official Indian Govt. website:
