Hello,

I have come across the phrase ullu ka pattha in a poem. This is tricky for two reasons, 1. I have found the definition of pattha to be tendon or hindquarters. Is this a polite euphemism for posterior/butt etc. 2. If this is Hindi slang for “Owl’s Butt,” then what would this translate to English as?

I am familiar with ullu ka baccha and would translate it colloquially as “idiot” or even “dumbass.” Is Ulu ka patthA the same?

Thank you
