There is always a prestige attached to participating in big meals

Here participating is not a present participle

Am I right ??

She adjusted to living on her own.

He objects to spending so much money on a T.V.
Translate in hindi…


Can we make these sentences using present participle..like

She adjusted living on her own.

He objects spending so much money on a T.V.

Here participating is not a present participle

She adjusted to living on her own.
—Usne Swayam Ko स्वतंत्र रूप से Jine Ke Liye Anukoolit Kiya.

He objects to spending so much money on a T.V.
—Use TV Par Adhik Paisa Kharch Karne Me Aapatti Hai.
or
—Vah TV Par Adhik Paisa Kharch Karne Me Aapatti Karta Hai.

Translate in hindi…
Can we make these sentences using present participle..like
—No

She adjusted living on her own.
He objects spending so much money on a T.V.
—Both are wrong because participle modifies noun not verb.
