New MemberHello everyone 😊. I have a friend who has a necklace that has been gifted to her and she would really really appreciate knowing what is written on it. If Anyone could read this for me that would be fantastic!! Thank you so much for your help :-D

ModeratorI hope you get an answer but this is a tough nut to crack.
It is obviously a coin from some bygone era, of face value = 1 unit of the currency in vogue then.
I cannot recognize the script .
Though there are similarities, it does not appear to be any of the modern Indian regional language scripts but I am not too sure
Sorry for being unable to help.
I hope someone else is able to help you.

Memberlines are not readable

ModeratorChander,
The lines are in a script that we are perhaps not familiar with.
That is why we are unable to read them.
This is not the Devnaagari script though it looks similar to it.
It is probably some old South Asian language, maybe, not even Indian but Thai, or Sinhalese
Or it could be an early form of some Indian regional language script.
I don’t know.
This question requires the attention of an expert on ancient scripts.

Do you have any better pictures? These are somewhat at an angle and not exactly from top. And resolution is also not that high…
Anyway, it does not look like it will get much easier to read these…
